Activities for Play, Work, and Rainy Days
Activities

* Read your Bible. Be it NIV (easy to understand), comic style (fun to look at), study Bible, paraphrase (“The Message” is like reading a beautiful poem), children book, audio book, DVD, etc. Visit a Christian bookstore and ask questions. There are many ways to learn the Bible! When you're comfortable (or not), take the Gospel where it's never been. Get on a mission, but remember you can't force people; they have to decide for themselves what to believe.
* Your Back Yard: Lawn chair, Barbeque, Sit back with a good book and a lemonade!
* Hospitality of Neighbors: Block parties, Combined Yard Sales, Pool parties.
* Exercise Your Body: Gym, pool, jogging trails, power walk, and lift weights. Get a trial gym membership, go with a friend and you won't regret it. You'll feel energized.
* Be Active: Use the miracle of maps in their many forms. Go to the Google Maps site and look around your town. Download “Google Earth”. Check out the phone book's activities page. Contact your town tourist center. Hit up all the fun places and find new ones. There are always more adventures if you look for them, no matter the town.
* Get a New Phone Book: Local Attraction Guide, Maps, and Coupons.
* 2007 Entertainment Book: Great coupons for fascinating places you didn't know exist.
* Sports: Bowling, Basketball, Tennis, Swimming, Jogging, White Water Rafting, Soccer, Horse Riding, etc.
* Clubs: Chess, Book Clubs, Pa
* Adult Education: Pottery, Painting, Organization, Stock Investing, etc.
* Random Acts of Kindness: Count the smiles you can give people as you go about your day. Place a neat little object on the sidewalk outside your window and watch to see who picks it up.
* Get real: Are the things you do everyday really necessary? Do you really need to go to the store everyday when you can go once every two weeks? Humans are meant to have FUN, are you doing that? Are you telling the truth about your Creed and lifestyle in everything that you do? Do you have personality and lively friends? Get there, no excuses.

* Cork Board Map Project: Thumbtack your town map to a cork bored, and place labeled pins on all the locations you know and find interesting. Seek out as many as you can, try to fill the map. You may want a label maker available at Costco, and a cork bored. If you can't use cork bored, just mark tiny numbers on the map, perhaps on hole-punched package tape. Then use a chart to describe the numbers.
* Indoor pool, outdoor pond, backyard pool.
* Barbecue with the neighbors.
* bowling.
* learn a sport; such as laze tag, water balloons, baseball, soccer, tennis, football, and creative variations of each sport.
* host a Christian bible study or sports event.
* chill with friends, friends game room, talk.
* look for free stuff online or good deals at the stores.
* skate park.
* shoot some hoops with your kids.
* take the sports vehicle out for some living on the edge.
* get a poster size calendar and fill it with your town's events just in case you might want to attend.
* use a spare calendar; make up things for you and your friends and business partners to do.
* call your friends, call people you just met, meet people to call.
* surprise someone, if they like surprises.
* Parks, trails, cemetery, green paths to walk.
* Family fun center.
* Seattle center.
* read the car manual.
* Truth or dare w/out the dare.
* scan all drawer papers into the computer and burn to DVD.
* watch a movie.
* make a list of lists you need to make.
* browse Google for the strangest ideas you can think of.
* test drive cars if you're an excellent driver.
* outside to play your favorite sport, or playstation.
* meditate, get a massage.
* Exercise video...tybo?
* Pray, read the bible, or ponder the meaning of 42.
* spring cleaning, throw out spare baggage.
* road trip, beach.
* relive your youth, take advantage of the season.
* rethink your life for a more productive career.
* back up your hard drive, believe me, do this soon.
* rent payperview, rent DVD, check out audio books at library.
* cruise around, take in the sights, park off the side of the road.
* skate, gocarts, bike, rollerblade, minigolf.
* play w/ kitty/puppy.
* great-deal shopping.
* out to eat.
* speedway.
* write in journal.
* daydream of a better life..?
* community events, sun dome, work events.
* take a slight risk, dial a random number, and face your fears.
* fertilize the lawn, mow the lawn, pull weeds, and fix the sprinklers.
* play games; make up games, board games, and kid games, whatever.
* Repair home.
* wash face.
* learn more about your hobby.

Take Into Consideration

1. Be in tune with what the people around you are willing to participate in. Are they healthy enough to go for a jog?
2. Plan out some activities, with much flexibility, for the "rainy day". It doesnt actually have to be raining, but that helps.
3. Pick from this handy list of activities what you would like to do! Perhaps make copies and vote on what to do.
